PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To store a leg-rest not to be an obstacle at the point of time when it is lodged by providing a seat part and the leg-rest which is freely drawn out to the front part of the seat part or lodged and also providing a storing means by which the foot-rest is retreated to the lower position of the seat part. SOLUTION: The foot-rest 4 which is freely drawn out to the front part of the seat part 1 or lodged is arranged and a chair is also provided with the storing means 5 to retreat the foot-rest 4 to the lower position of the seat part 1 by hands or driving source 7. The leg-rest slide mechanisms 52 of the storing means 5 are disposed at the both sides of the leg-rest 4 and leg-rest holding members 51 are engaged with them. Besides, a lever 61 being a drawing- out/lodging means 6 draws-out or lodges the leg-rest 4 and also rotates or slides a holding rotary bar 512 to store it to the lower part of the seat part. Thus, safety is improved without a problem that a user is injured by permitting a leg to be caught by the projecting part of the leg-rest having recessed/projected parts or a problem that the leg-rest comes to be an obstacle when the user is seated.
