PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vegetation mat which has an enhanced strength and can strongly adhere lawn mats to a slope or the like, and to provide a method for producing the vegetation mat. SOLUTION: This vegetation mat 1 in which a flexible net 2 is integrated with separately grown lawn mats is produced by spreading the flexible net 2 on a field 4, spreading the lawn mats 3 over the net 2, and then peeling the lawn mat-having net 2 from the field at a time when the roots of the lawn mats 3 are entangled with the net 2.
