PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save manpower of maintenance working by providing a dust collecting filter and a dust detector, providing a purified air supply duct for supplying the purified air on the downstream of the dust collecting filter to the dust detector and cleaning the inside of the dust detector by the air from the purified air supply duct. SOLUTION: In the air purifier provided with the detector for detecting the dust amount contained in the external air, at the time of cleaning the inside of the dust detector 1, the air allowed to enter into the dust detector 1 is stopped by actuating an air duct switching valve 9, and the purified air on the downstream of the dust collecting filter 3 is allowed to enter into the dust detector 1 by using a clean air introduce duct 8. The dust stuck in the dust detector 1 is removed by the air flow, and dust detecting function is recovered to a normal state. In this way, the removal of the dust in the dust detector 1 is executed simply and in a short time, and the burden on the user is reduced. After cleaning, the air duct switching valve 9 is actuated again and the air is introduced into the dust detector 1 from an air introduce duct 5. |
