PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broken yarn-treating device which can treat a broken yarn in a state that the group of spun yarns traveling under a high tension are not collected. SOLUTION: This broken yarn-treating device in which a measured oil- imparting guide group 5, a yarn control guide group 6, a yarn-sucking means 9, a yarn-cutting means 10, yarn-collecting guides 11 and a broken yarn detector group are successively arranged from the upstream side of a travel flow of the group Y of many spun yarns to the downstream side, and which is used for collecting the group Y of the many spun yarns on the basis of a broken yarn signal from the broken yarn detector group, cutting the collected yarn group Y with the yarn-cutting means 10, and sucking and catching the end of the cut yarn group with the yarn-sucking means 9. Therein, the characteristic comprises disposing movement means 7, 8 capable of forward or rearward moving the measured oil-imparting guide group 5 and the yarn control guide group 6 so that the spun yarn group Y is moved from the yarn travel region on the basis of a broken yarn detection signal detected with the broken yarn detector group and further so that the measured oil-imparting guide group 5 and the yarn control guide group 6 are backward moved.
