POLYAMIDE RESIN COMPOSITION AND BOX-SHAPED MOLDED ARTICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyamide resin composition developing good characteristics such as high fluidity even after retaining in a cylinder in molding by compounding a polyamide resin containing a specific component with a liquid crystal resin and an acid anhydride. SOLUTION: The objective composition is produced by compounding (A) 100 pts.wt. of a polyamide resin composed of (i) 99-50 wt.% aliphatic polyamide resin and (ii) 50-1 wt.% polyamide resin containing a ring structure in the molecular chain with (B) 0.01-100 pts.wt. of a liquid crystal resin and (C) 0.01-5 pts.wt. of an acid anhydride. The melt viscosity of the component B is preferably <=50 Pa.s at the temperature higher than the melting point of the component (i) by 25 deg.C. The component C is preferably succinic anhydride, phthalic anhydride, etc. The composition is preferably further incorporated with (D) 0.5-300 pts.wt. of a filler based on 100 pts.wt. of A+B. The composition is suitable for the molding of a box-shaped molded article having a thin-walled part of <=1.0 mm thick accounting for >=10% of the total surface of the molded article.
