PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a mixture which can provide multi-functional metal- containing resin particles having excellent heat-resistant stability, by mixing a vinyl monomer not containing a carboxyl group with a multi-functional metal salt obtained from a multi-valent metal (hydr)oxide with an organic carboxylic acid compound. SOLUTION: A mixture of (A) a carboxyl group-free vinyl monomer in an amount of preferably 60.0 to 99.5 mol.%, more preferably 80.0 to 99.5 mol.%, with (B) a multi-valent metal salt obtained by reacting (i) a multi-valent (hydr) oxide with (ii) an organic carboxylic acid compound at a polymerization temperature preferably in an amount of one or more equivalents per equivalent of the component (i), in an amount of 0.5 to 40.0 mol.%, more preferably 0.5 to 20.0 mol.%. The component A is preferably a monomer comprising one or more compounds selected from (meth)acrylate ester compounds, styrene and acrylonitrile. The mixture is obtained, for example, by dispersing the component (i) in the component A and then adding the component (ii) to the dispersion at a polymerization temperature. |
