PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a balance weight having high density and large specific gravity so as to promote miniaturization by forming a compact made of mixed powder obtained by agitating and mixing tungsten powder and the other metallic powder while using alloy sintered by a heavy alloy mechanism theory. SOLUTION: A balance weight 2 mounted on automotive wheels 6 is composed of a weight part 3 and an attaching part 4. The weight part 3 is made of a compact composed of mixed powder obtained by agitating and mixing tungsten powder and the other metallic powder while using alloy sintered by a heavy alloy mechanism theory. Namely, after 85 to 98 wt.% of tungsten powder, 0 to 12 wt.% of molybdenum powder, 1 to 12 wt.% of nickel powder, 0 to 5 wt.% of cupper powder, 0 to 5 wt.% of iron powder, and 0 to 5 wt.% of cobalt powder are blended with each other, and then, the mixed powder is molded in a prescribed shape so as to provide a compact. The compact is baked so as to provide the weight part 3 having a prescribed shape. |
