PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition good in flavor, rich in spermidine and spermine and useful as a food material or the like by isolating and collecting polyamines from a permeate obtained by ultrafiltration membrane treatment at a specific pH of a milk or milk material. SOLUTION: This composition good in flavor, rich in spermidine and spermine, and extremely highly useful as a food material or the like is obtained at low cost by isolating and collecting polyamines, by at least one means among ion exchange method, membrane fractionation and electrodialysis, from a permeate obtained by adding an inorganic acid such as sulfuric, hydrochloric acetic or phosphoric acid, organic acid such as lactic or citric acid, and/or microorganisms viable through assimilating lactoingredients and capable of forming organic acids (e.g. lactic acid bacteria, propionic acid bacteria, Bacillus bifidus) to a milk or milk material to lower its pH to <=5.5 followed by carrying out a ultrafiltration(UF) membrane treatment. |
