FORMATION OF METALLIC LAYER ONTO SURFACE OF RESIN MOLDING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a metallic layer onto the surface of a resin molding useful for easily forming a metallic coating film excellent in film thickness precision and surface smoothness and moreover high in peeling strength on the surface of a resin molding. SOLUTION: A resin molding and a metal fine powder producing material are stored into a treating vessel, and in the treating vessel, the metal fine powder producing material is flowingly brought into contact with the surface of the resin molding, by which metal fine powder is produced from the metal fine powder producing material to form a metallic layer composed of the metal fine powder on the surface of the resin molding. The metal fine powder producing material is flowingly brought into contact with the surface of the resin molding desirably by applying vibration to the resin molding and the metal fine powder producing material and/or stirring both.
