SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING VALUE ADDED SERVICE USING LOCATION INFORMATION OF MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A system and method for providing a value added service using location information of a mobile communication system is provided to convert the location information of a mobile terminal into location information of a map by using a network by the cell of the mobile communication system. CONSTITUTION: A VLR(Visitor Location Register,14) stores information on cell location of a mobile terminal, and assigns vender's ID according to an MIN(Mobile Identification Number). A VMD(Value added service Mediation Device,15) converts the format of cell location information of the mobile terminal registered in the VLR(14) into a transmission control TCP/IP, to transmit converted format to a gateway server(16). The gateway server(16) transmits the cell location information of the mobile terminal transmitted from the VMD(15) to a VAN(Value Added Network).
