PURPOSE: An air-cooling engine is provided to achieve an improved wear resistance and cooling efficiency through an enhanced lubrication performance for a cam and a locker arm upon initial starting of engine. CONSTITUTION: A combustion chamber(3) is formed at the bottom of a cylinder head(2) to be coupled with a cylinder, to thereby form suction/exhaust valve seats(7,8). Suction/exhaust valves(9,10) for opening/shutting off the valve seats are installed at the upper surface of the cylinder head. A cam shaft(11) is arranged at the upper center of the cylinder head, and locker arm shafts(14,15) are installed to a cam shaft holder(130 to be coupled to the cylinder head. An oil passage(19) formed of a groove communicating to a stud bolt hole(18), is arranged at the top surface of the cylinder so as to allow the oil transported from the oil pump to pass through. An oil reservoir(20) is installed between suction/exhaust valves arranged at the upper surface of the cylinder head, in such a manner that the upper surface of the oil reservoir is opened. The oil passage is communicated to the oil reservoir through a hole penetrating the valve bridge arranged between the left surface(2') of gasket and the exhaust valve(10). An oil tray(24) is installed beneath cam lobes(12,12') arranged at the side wall of the oil reservoir.
