POWER SAVING OPERATIONAL CONTROL METHOD FOR AIR CONDITIONER

PURPOSE: A power saving operational control method is provided to reduce discomfort of users caused due to the change of indoor temperature by adjusting compressor on/off duty when the indoor temperature is higher than a reference temperature level. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises a first step(S1 to S3) of inputting an operation condition for air conditioner; a second step(S4) of driving a compressor in accordance with the operation condition; a third step(S5) of judging whether a power saving operation mode is selected by a user; a fourth step(S6) of determining a compressor on/off duty in accordance with the compressor on/off duty for normal operation and the power saving operation percent selected by the user, if a power saving operation mode is selected; a fifth step(S7) driving the compressor in accordance with the compressor on/off duty determined in the fourth step; and a sixth step(S8) of judging whether the indoor temperature is higher than the reference temperature, and returning to the fourth step if the indoor temperature is higher than the reference temperature, and returning to the fifth step if the indoor temperature is lower than the reference temperature.
