PURPOSE: An impurity collecting apparatus is provided to improve the endurance of an engine by cleaning ion chips and impurities without separating an oil pan from a cylinder block such that clean engine oil is constantly circulated through the engine. CONSTITUTION: An impurity collecting apparatus comprises a cap-shaped upper structure(61) and a cup-shaped lower structure(65). The upper structure(61) is formed at a peripheral portion thereof with a screw(61a) such that it can be coupled to a lower portion of an oil pan. Cutting sections(61b) are formed at a sidewall of the upper structure(61) with a predetermined interval. A seal plate(62) is provided in the upper structure(61) so as to prevent engine oil from being leaked downwards. A return spring(63) is positioned between the seal plate(62) and a cover(61c) of the upper structure(61) so as to elastically support the seal plate(62). A stopper(64) is installed in the upper structure(61) for preventing the seal plate(62) from moving out of the upper structure(61). The lower structure(65) is coupled with the upper structure(61) and stores impurities introduced through the cutting sections(61b) of the upper structure(61). A magnet(66) is installed in the lower structure(65) so as to generate a magnetic force. A protrusion rod(67) is upwardly protruded from the lower structure(65) so as to upwardly move the seal plate(62).
