PURPOSE: A method of performing an initial copying in a hard disk drive is provided to divide a storage region of one original hard disk drive into many regions as many as model kinds, to store a program, so as to copy programs of storage regions of corresponding models in copying hard disk drives while connecting the different kinds of models with the copying hard disk drives. CONSTITUTION: A host computer performs a copy mode to copy a copying hard disk drive that does not install a program(510). The host computer confirms a capacity and a model of the copying hard disk drive(520). The host computer reads a region of a magnetic disk corresponding to the capacity and the model of the copying hard disk drive, and copies the program on a magnetic disk of the copying hard disk drive(530-540). If a command of continuing producing is not requested from a user, the host computer completes the program.
