PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair which combines the rotating motion of a seat part and forward and backward sliding movement motion in order to ease the action that a physically handicapped old man, physically handicapped person or child to seat and erect in front of a table or desk and which ensures the stable operation thereof and prevents the inadvertent movement of the entire part of the chair. SOLUTION: A base body is turnably mounted at the top end of an immovable leg 1 which is made immovable with respect to a floor surface in at least a use state and a seat part 4 disposed in the upper part of the base body is mounted at the base body sldingly movably back and forth relative to the base body. Moving legs 5 provided with rolling rings 8 at their bottom ends are installed under the front of the seat part and are so set that the rolling rings roll on the floor surface at all times. The seat part is supported by these moving legs.
