PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for assigning address for inter processor communication in a full electronic exchange is provided to automatically assign address by automatically granting address of processors in initial booting of the processors, thereby improving the convenience and the accuracy. CONSTITUTION: A processor for management determines whether any node is converted into a general state(S1). The processor whether an address grant request message is input through the corresponding node within a predetermined time(S2,S3). If receiving the address grant request message, the processor searches an available address in address information of a storing part(S4). The processor reads the address for assigning in position information of a storing part(S5). The address information is transmitted to the other processor(S6). The processor confirms whether a predetermined reception confirm signal is transmitted(S7).
