PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the flocking density of bristle materials for brushing uniform and to ameliorate the unevenness of brushing by superposing the interwoven bristle materials on channel materials, curving the channel materials so as to roll in core materials existing on the bristle material side surface and sandwiching the bristle materials with the channel materials around the core materials. SOLUTION: The interwoven bristle materials are superposed on the channel material and the channel material is curved so as to roll in the core material existing on the bristle material side surface to sandwich the bristle materials with the channel material around the core material. In the production of, for example, this brush body, a hard wire, such as a piano wire 204, is arranged as the core material in the intermediate position in the upper transverse direction of the channel material 202 and bristle materials 170 superposed on each other. When the channel material 202 is curved to an approximately U shape so as to envelop the piano wire 204, the bristle materials 170 are held between a pair of leg plates 202A of the channel material 202. The bristle materials 170 including a base material 200 are cut at a prescribed length in this state, thereby the brush body 166 is completed.
