PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for subscriber line digital continuity test which efficiently perform a subscriber line digital continuity test. SOLUTION: This system automatically responds to a call, which is obtained from a test terminal 1 on the side of a user home 1A through an ISDN exchange 5, by a test control circuit 6 provided on the side of an exchange 1B, and a subscriber line bit error rate from the side of the exchange 1B to a turning point of the user home 1A is automatically measured by a digital test pattern transmission/reception circuit 7 and the measurement result is reported to the user home 1A through the ISDN exchange 5.
