Device has store of dry sand contained in tank fixed to vehicle bodywork. Compressed air induced by venturi effect withdraws sand and ejects through pipe through projection mouth at lowest point of wheel in contact with slippery ground. System is controlled by push buttons in driver's cab. Sand is pre-heated in its tank by electrical resistances and compressed air is heated by engine exhaust.
