PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a navigator to more effectively utilize VICS(Vehicle Information Communication System) information received from an FM multiplex broadcasting station. SOLUTION: A car navigator 10 not only displays VICS information received from an FM multiplex broadcasting station, etc., in the map picture displayed on its display, but also builds a vehicle information data base by storing the VICS information by adding received time of the information to the information. Even under such a condition that the VICS information from the broadcasting station is not able to be received or the VICS information is not broadcast, the navigator 10 presents the vehicle information matching the present time zone to users based on the vehicle information stored in the traffic information data base. |
