PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a dosimeter which is not degraded even when it is used for many hours at a high temperature and in a high radiation dose rate and which can measure a high integrated dose by a method wherein a colored aluminum oxide film is executed to the surface of an aluminum alloy sheetlike small piece and a change in the discoloration of the surface color of the film irradiated with a radiation is measured. SOLUTION: In this dosimeter 10 for a colored aluminum oxide film, an aluminum oxide film in a prescribed thickness by an anodizing operation is executed to the whole surface of an aluminum alloy plate. The surface of the dosimeter is made red by a dyestuff which is mixed with the film. In a measurement, an alanine dosimeter 30 is first placed in the same place as the dosimeter 10 in order to detect a radiation dose in its installation place, and a dose rate is calibrated by an electron spin method after it is irradiated for a set time, On the other hand, a change in the discoloration of the dosimeter 10 after it is irradiated with a radiation from a cobalt 60 source in an irradiation chamber 40 is measured in a time-series manner, and a relationship with an integrated dose is found as a graph. Thereby, the integrated dose at this time can be found with high accuracy on the basis of the hue value and the chroma value of the dosimeter 10.
