PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a personal security system that utilizes a mobile communication terminal, whose position can be specified through the provision of a GPS reception means. SOLUTION: A PHS mobile communication terminal 1, provided with an emergency pushbutton and a GPS reception section, makes automatic dialing to a management center 2 when the emergency button is operated to transmit information on emergency notices, identification information of the mobile communication terminal 1 (e.g. a telephone number) and position information obtained by the GPS reception section to a management device 7 of the management center 2 through a PHS communication network and a public line network 4. The management device 7 decides who the owner of the mobile communication terminal 1 is on the basis of its telephone number and maps and displays the position of the mobile communication terminal 1 on a map, corresponding to the position information. Furthermore, an operator of the management center 2 receiving an emergency notice uses a telephone set 9 to make a speech with the possessor, to inform a registered subscriber telephone set 5 and to command a dispatch command to an emergency dispatch vehicle 8.
