PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor file storage device which has simple constitution and is fast and highly reliable. SOLUTION: A flash memory 10 has a data area and a standby area for data writing in a cell array 11. At a write request, write data are written to the standby area for data writing from outside through a register 12 as to an area to be rewritten and from the data area of the cell array 11 after being transferred through the register 12 as to the area which will not be rewritten. After the writing, the standby area for data writing is used as the data area and the data area requested to be written is used as the standby area for the data writing. |
