PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device that developing can be excellently executed and a high-quality output image can be obtained without deteriorating toner and thinning the density of the back end of the image by always securing the required quantity of the toner on a developing roller even when the residual quantity of toner is reduced with respect to the developing device using non- magnetic one-component toner. SOLUTION: A conductive toner supply quantity adjustment means 7 is arranged with respect to a toner supply roller 4 arranged by abutting on the developing roller 2 in a state where it crosses a horizontal-direction tangential line passing through the upper surface of the roller 4 from a lower side and projects upward so as to form a toner bank A between the roller 2 and a control means 7 at the upper part of the roller 4. By applying toner supply voltage whose polarity is identical to the toner to the adjustment means 7 from a power source 9, an electric field for pressing the toner T of the bank A in the direction of the roller 4 is formed. |
