PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device for which a maintenance interval can be extended to reduce a maintenance cost by reducing parts exchange frequency of a transfer material carrying belt, a transfer roller, or the like constituting the transfer device. SOLUTION: In this image forming device, allowing a toner image being formed on the image carrier to be transferred on the transfer material by means of the transfer material carrying belt 216 held in contact with the transfer part surface of plural image carriers 222a to 222d, supporting members 230a to 230c for butting/supporting the transfer material transport belt 216 are positioned on a side opposite to the image carrier side between mutual image carriers, and thus, the transfer material carrying belt 216 is drawn and supported closer to the image carrier side closer than to a tangent position L between mutual image carriers.
