PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the read order or the like in accordance with an ejection form to eject documents in the stacking order in an image input device. SOLUTION: A CPU 2001 is connected to a scanner 100, a printer 400, an HDD 2004, a RAM 2002, and a RON 203 and is connected to a copy machine 1217 or printers 1218 and 1219 through a network 1210, thus constituting a serial system. The CPU 2001 performs control to output picture data read from the scanner 199 to the copy machine 1217 and printers 1218 and 1219 through the network 1219. A carrying means of the scanner 100 is controlled in accordance with the ejection form stored in the HDD 2004, and picture data are stored in and transferred from the HDD 2004 so that the ejection order may be most suitable in each printer in accordance with a larger number of documents.
