PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a shape testing device and a shape testing method for digital image reader which easily extract all test marks on a test image from the display picture and can perform a shape test with high accuracy in the case of performing the shape test of a read image obtained by a two-dimensional digital image reader performing scan reading with light. SOLUTION: When a digital image reader obtains a test image from a recording medium on which a plurality of test marks whose positions are known are recorded and a composited image is obtained by overlapping an internal pattern image provided with a window of a fixed size and the test image in accordance with the test mark image of the test image, the image data of images in the neighborhood of the four corners of the ends of the composited image are made to correspond to the pixel unit of a display image and shown. The test mark image is extracted by performing fine adjustment of the overlapping position of the internal pattern image so that the test mark image can be included in the window, and the shape test of a read image is performed by using the position of the extracted test mark image. |
