发明名称 LEAD-ACID BATTERY
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-voltage lead acid battery having no risk of shortcircuiting between a positive and a negative electrode outer terminal and capable of being mounted even in a minor space. SOLUTION: Eighteen bunches of electrode plates connected in series are stored in a battery jar 1, and a positive electrode outer terminal 3 and a negative electrode outer terminal 4 are installed at diagonally positioned inside corners of a lid 2 as straddling bent plugs 5 formed in the lid 2 in such a way as mating with the cells of battery. The nominal total voltage of a lead acid battery 10 is 36 V, and the battery jar 1 is made in a mono-block structure. Accordingly one battery secures the nominal total voltage 36 V to permit mounting in a minor space such as an engine room of an automobil, and owing to diagonal positioning of the outer terminals on the battery lid, the inter-terminal distance can be secured longer than a conventional lead acid battery having a nominal total voltage of 12 V, and it is possible to reduce external shortcircuit to a great extent.
