PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a choke coil, which can remove both of common mode noise and normal mode noise with a small size. SOLUTION: A choke coil 10 comprises a first coil 16 and a second coil 18, which are formed side by side, an intermediate part 20, and a laminate 14 constituted by outer layers 22 and 24 including outer layer plates 26 and 28. U-shaped cores 58a and 58b are passed through through holes 12a and 12b so as to complete the choke coil 10. The first coil 16 and the second coil 18 are wound such that a closed magnetic circuit is formed around the first coil and the second coil when normal mode noise current is applied and such that a closed magnetic circuit is formed around the cores 58a and 58b when common mode noise current is applied.
