PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve controllability by permitting the center of a resistor body pattern to protrude to the side of a conductive contact point, permitting the conductive contact point to be deformed so as to vary its contacting area with respect to a resistor body pattern through the pressing control of a support member, and allowing resistance value to be variable. SOLUTION: In a variable resistor, when the upper portion of a support 6a which faces a resistor body pattern 5 is pressed, a leg 6b is imparted with elastic deformation, and further a curved surface 7a of a conductive contact point 7 comes into contact with the protruded center of the resistor body pattern 5. When the support 6a is kept pressed, the curved surface 7a comes into contact with the conically protruded resistor body pattern 5, while being deformed to gradually increase the contacting area and vary the resistance value at both ends of the resistor body pattern 5, thereby being imparted with a function as a variable resistor. When the support 6a is released from being pressed, the support 6a is restored to the original state by the elasticity of the leg 6b itself, and further, the contacting area of the curved surface 7a with respect to the resistor body pattern 5 is reduced while varying the resistance value to restore the original state.
