PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressurize developing device capable of uniformly developing by pressurizing over a wide range at a low cost, and to provide a printer using the pressurizing developing device. SOLUTION: As for the pressurizing developing device for a printer 10, a paper 1 on which a pressure sensitive latent image is formed is pressurized and developed, and the device is provided with a platen 50 with a flat surface part 53 extending in a direction X orthogonal to a paper 1 feeding direction Z, and a pressurized developing heat 40 which is moved backward and forward in the direction X along the flat surface part 53 of the platen 50. The pressure developing head 40 is provided with a pressurize developing roller 41 for pressurizing the paper positioned on the flat surface part 53 of the platen 50 cooperatively with the platen 50 while rotating on the paper part when the head 40 is linearly moved backward and forward in the direction X. As for the roller 41, the circumferencial part 44a coming into contact with the paper part is projectingly curved outward, viewing from a cross section including the axial line G1 of the roller 41.
