PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fingerprint collating device improved in the collation performance of a blurred fingerprint. SOLUTION: This fingerprint collating device is provided with a fingerprint sensor 1 reading the fingerprint image of a finger and a fingerprint collation processing means 3 for collating the registered fingerprint data with the fingerprint data read by the fingerprint sensor. In such a case, the device is provided with a finger placing state judging means 2 that recognizes a finger placing state by applying image processing to the read fingerprint data and a fingerprint sensor sensitivity setting means 7 which sets the reading sensitivity of the fingerprint sensor on the basis of the judged results. |
