The invention concerns a method and a multipurpose reactor for synthesis and crystallisation in a liquid medium, based on synthesis in a hot process reaction zone (1), of a compound dissolved in the reaction medium at a reaction temperature, driving the reaction medium towards a cold process crystallisation zone (19), and crystallising said dissolved compound. The invention is characterised in that, prior to its being introduced into the crystallisation zone, the reaction medium is gradually cooled by heat exchange with the crystallisation juice coming from the corresponding zone, in a intermediate heat-exchanging zone (5). Said heat exchange is preferably carried out by recirculation of the crystallisation juice, thereby ensuring a back mixing in the intermediate zone consisting in particular of a plate column (6). |
