PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coaxial connector for high frequency used in a band of frequency from a microwave to a milliwave having good electrical and mechanical characteristics with small transmission loss in a high frequency band, capable of connecting a high frequency signal without losing air-tightness of an inner side and an outer side even when a highly air-tight sealed container of vacuum or high pressure is used. SOLUTION: This coaxial connector includes a cylindrical outer conductor 1 having an inner diameter expansion part 1a in a center region, a circular insulator 2 arranged in the inner diameter expansion part 1a, and a central conductor 3 arranged coaxially to the outer conductor 1 and held to the insulator 2, and circular spaces S1, S2 are provided on both sides of the insulator 2 in a direction of the central conductor 3 in the inner diameter expansion part 1a. The circular spaces S1, S2 can function as converting parts of characteristic impedance and good high frequency characteristics are provided. Furthermore, the insulator 2 can provide excellent air-tightness.
