<p>A process for producing L-lysine by a further improved fermentation method compared with the existing methods which comprises transferring a gene encoding ribose phosphate isomerase into a coryneform bacterium capable of producing L-lysine and thus enhancing the ribose phosphate isomerase activity to thereby elevate the L-lysine productivity; and a strain to be used therein.</p> |
