PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to quickly restore a fault even when an system engineer(SE) familiar with a computer system is not made to stand by. SOLUTION: Error codes and error levels are previously made to correspond to each other on an error level correspondence table 22. When an error occurs, an application program(AP) 1 transfers an error code to an error level judging part 2, which acquires an error level by retrieving the table 22 by using the error code as a key, and when the error level is 'data base(DB) fault', starts a data base restoring processing part 3. The AP 1 receives the error level from the judging part 2, and when the error level is 'DB fault' or 'temporary environmental fault', executes its own retrial, and when the error level is 'AP fault', executes its abnormal end.
