PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make easily and inexpensively attainable the function of plural non-contact information medium by single non-contact information medium by allowing the non-contact information medium to have two antenna parts and two kinds of communication distance to radio-communicate with two kinds of external equipments having different communication distances. SOLUTION: The communication system 1 has a non-contact information medium 10 and reader-writers 20 and 40 having respectively different communication distances. The medium 10 has an antenna coil 14 and an IC chip 18 on a substrate 12. The coil 14 has antenna parts 15 and 16. In the case of using the medium 10 while moving an SF function, etc., in a train, e.g. or in the case of handling a small amount of value, communication is executed in a long communication distance with the reader-writer 20. In the case of desiring to execute reliable processing or in the case of handling a large amount of value such as an electronic money function, communication is executed in a short communication distance with the reader-writer 40.
