<p>A head slider (14) comprises a main head element (24) exhibiting a first resistance value when a current specified by prescribed current and voltage values is applied and an auxiliary head element (25) exhibiting a second resistance value larger than the first resistance value when the current is applied. When the auxiliary head element (25) becomes deteriorated and exhibits an insufficient function even though the main head element (24) exhibits a sufficient function, it is judged that the main head element (24) has been damaged slightly and the durability of the main head element (24) has been degraded. Thus even a main head element (24) the durability of which is slightly degraded can be reliably discriminated.</p> |
