PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to lower diffracted sound coming from the upper end of a wound-proof wall without raising the height of the sound-proof wall. SOLUTION: A diffracted sound wave lowering panel assembly 10 is mounted to the upper end section of a sound-proof wall. In that case, the diffracted sound wave lowering panel assembly 10 is constituted of an acoustic absorbing front panel 12 mounted to a noise source by facing thereon, an acoustic absorbing upper surface panel 14 is so horizontally mounted to the upper endof the front panel 12 that one end side is projected to the noise source side and that the other end side is projected to the opposite side of the noise source side largely from the noise source side and an acoustic absorbing rear panel 16 connecting the end edge on the opposite side of the noise source side in the upper surface panel 14 to the lower end edge of the front panel 12.
