<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for laser beam machining and a device therefor capable of improving velocity of processing a work. SOLUTION: By making nearly parallel laser beams 21a pass through a cylindrical lens 19, a laser beam 21b having a long and narrow transverse section is generated, and thus generated laser beam 21b is projected on a work 6, and at the same time a spot S of the laser beam 21b on the work 6 is moved in the direction of working 22 so that the longitudinal direction of the spot S may coinside with the direction of working.</p> |
