PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it easier to mount vibration isolating rubber on a support base for supporting the support base on the ground or the like and to reduce the height of the vibration isolating rubber, in a portable engine mounted on the support base. SOLUTION: A shank 7 having an umbrella part 8 at its upper end is provided integrally with the upper surface of vibration isolating rubber 5 and is mounted in place by inserting it into a mounting hole 6 bored through a support base 3. The mounting hole 6 is tapered so that its inside diameter is larger at the lower surface than at the upper surface of the support base 3.
