PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a physiologically active substance such as an anticancer active substance by inoculating a culture medium with a defined amount of spores of a microorganism belonging to Aspergillus and by the cultivation under a specific condition to efficiently cultivate the Aspergillus microorganism. SOLUTION: A microorganism belonging to the genus Aspergillus is cultivated by inoculating a culture medium such as PD agar or Sabouraud's agar with spores of an Aspergillus microorganism such as Aspergillus.flavus.SRT strain (FERM BP-5,030) in a number of (1 to 3)×105 based on 1 mL culture medium and by the cultivation at 28-32 deg.C and a shaking speed of 118-122 rpm until the weight of cultured microorganism reaches >=4.5 mg (dry weight) based on 1 mL culture medium. The Aspergillus microorganism produces an anticancer active substance SRT-K having the following physicochemical properties or a glycoprotein obtained by purifying the substance SRT-K: three peaks at 65±7, 58±6 and 48±5 (kDa) are observed in molecular weight measurement by electrophoresis; and the isoelectric points exist at 7.6, 7.0, 6.2, 5.7, 5.5 and 5.0. |
