PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lipid metabolism regulator containing Yanagi-cha (phonetic, a kind of crude drug obtained form Sibiraea angustata (Kchd.) Hand. Mazz) as active ingredient. SOLUTION: This pharmaceutical preparation, a lipid metabolism regulator, contains, as active ingredient, Yanagi-cha intended to reduce plasma triacylglycerol(TG) levels and plasma free fatty acid(FFA) levels in mammals. This pharmaceutical preparation, because of enabling adipocytes to be atrophied and body weight to be decreased in mammals, can be used in treating diseases associated with lipid metabolism, or as an ingredient in food or feed. |
