PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing nitrile by the ammoxidation of an alkane. SOLUTION: In this method for producing nitrile by continuously feeding an alkane, ammonia and oxygen to a reactor charged with a solid catalyst to form nitrile, separating nitrile and other reaction products from an outflow gas of the reactor, recovering the alkane from the residual gas and circulating the gas to the reactor, a gas containing the recovered alkane is mixed with ammonia and the mixed gas is supplied at >=50 deg.C to the reactor. |
