PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an oil-soluble manufactured Japanese green tea paste capable of stably maintaining characteristic flavor and color tone of the manufactured Japanese green tea for many hours, having smooth feeling on the tongue, ingestible without a sense of incompatibility by pulverizing and grinding a mixture of a prescribed amount of ground material of manufactured Japanese green tea and a prescribed amount of edible oils and fats under specific conditions. SOLUTION: A mixture of 5-70 wt.% of ground material of manufactured Japanese green tea obtained by a routine procedure and 95-30 wt.% of edible oils and fats having -80 to 20 deg.C melting point such as soybean oil is pulverized and ground under conditions of 50-500 mμgap of rotary whetstone and 40-100 g rotational gravity (g is acceleration of gravity) once or more times to give an oil-soluble Japanese green tea paste. Preferably, a mixture of 5-30 wt.% of ground material of manufactured Japanese green tea and 95-70 wt.% of a single solution or a mixed solution of two or more, selected from the liquid component group consisting of glycerol, polypropylene glycol and hydrous liquid sugar alcohols is pulverized and ground under conditions of 50-500 mμgap of rotary whetstone and 40-100 g rotational gravity once or more times to produce a water-soluble Japanese green tea paste.
