PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sewing machine which can smoothly sew a belt type material to a cloth at a high speed without using a siccative agent. SOLUTION: A belt type material supply means 22 for supplying a belt type material such as a rubber tape 36 is attached to a sewing machine body 21 serving as an overlock sewing machine. The belt type material supply means 22 has a pair of rollers 30 and 31 which are arranged below a virtual plane including the upper surface of a needle plate 26. The rubber tape 36 is held between the rollers 30 and 31. When the main roller 30 rotates, the rubber tape 36 is supplied to the needle plate 26. A cloth is arranged on the rubber tape 36 and further pressed by a presser metal 62 so that the rubber tape 36 is sewn onto the cloth.
