METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PHOTOGRAPHING AND RECOGNIZING FACE BASED UPON AUTOMATIC TRACKING OF SKIN COLOR AND MOVEMENT

PURPOSE: A method and a device for photographing and recognizing a face based upon an automatic tracking of a skin color and a movement is provided to accurately photograph and recognize a face image by tracking a movement of a subject, and further previously caution against a dangerous man by judging a state of the face image. CONSTITUTION: An initial analyzing part(31) selects a position of a face by extracting the face portion from a picture signal of a camera. A judging part(32) selects a pursued target based upon a comparison between the extracted outline of the face and a predetermined face template. An object supervising part(33) outputs a value for controlling a camera position so as to track a movement of the pursued target. A pan/tilt and zoom controlling part(34) generates a pan/tilt and zoom controlling signal for moving the position of the camera according to the inputted value. A face image storing and transferring part(35) stores the face image captured by the camera and transfers the image to a display device. A face recognizing and searching part(36) recognizes and search for the stored face image.
