PURPOSE: A reflective LCD(liquid crystal display) having an auxiliary light source is provided to improve display quality and light efficiency by adopting a fine preferable structure formed on the surface of an auxiliary light source of a reflective LCD as well as a design method. CONSTITUTION: A reflective LCD includes a transparent light panel(501), an auxiliary light source(503), upper/lower substrates and a reflective LCD panel(507). The transparent light panel(501) has plural protrusion ends parallel to the rear side with an obtuse angle with the rear side. The auxiliary light source(503) is positioned near the incident surface of the light panel(501) to emit light toward the light panel(501). The upper substrate is transparent and parallel to the rear side of the auxiliary light source(503) while the lower substrate has a reflector(505) for the incident light through the upper substrate. Finally, the reflective LCD panel(507) includes a liquid crystal between the upper and lower substrates.
