PURPOSE: An apparatus for generating a brain waves inducing signal, which is used as a portable audio apparatus, is provided, which generates a brain waves inducing signal, by using prior components in the portable audio apparatus and adding a minimum additional components to the audio apparatus. CONSTITUTION: A micom(100) controls a driving and an operation of the audio apparatus, and also outputs a pulse with a waveform corresponding to a mode selected by a mode selection key(S). A waveform converter(11) converts the pulse from the micom into a sinewave. A sound source generation controller(12) transmits the sinewave selectively through a stereo output port of the audio apparatus in turn. An optical driving controller(13) converts the pulse from the micom into an optical driving signal, and then outputs it through a microphone input/output port of the audio apparatus. A headphone connection port(22) provides an output connection point of the transmitted sinewave. And a microphone connection port(23) provides an output connection point of the optical driving signal from the optical driving controller and also is used as the microphone input connection point.
