PURPOSE: A home terminal for providing multimedia services in a TDMA(Time Division Multi Access) network and a service session setup method thereof are provided to provide multimedia services in a TDMA network. CONSTITUTION: A home terminal(216) includes a real time OS(Operating System)(311), a home terminal control routine(312), an MAC module(313), a DSM-CC(Digital Storage Media-Command and Control) module(315), and an IPC(314). The real time OS(311) manages all the components of the home terminal(216). The home terminal control routine(312) manages and controls various protocol software and application software operated on the home terminal(216). The MAC module(313) drives an MAC protocol so that TDMA can be implemented. The DSM-CC module(315) coves session connection with a service provider who provides multimedia services. The IPC(314) covers communication with each component.
